ME - Carsten Neder

My name is Carsten Neder, I’m 48 years old and live in the beautiful Five Lakes Region (Fünfseenland) right by Lake Weßling in Upper Bavaria. Most importantly, I’m a proud dad of two amazing boys. I'm a passionate runner, trail running coach, creative mind, and idealist—with a clear mission: to inspire movement—physically, mentally, and socially.

What started as a hobby quickly turned into a calling. I completed my coach training with Andreas Butz (Laufcampus), and ever since, I’ve been sharing my knowledge with great enthusiasm—through corporate running groups, as a personal trainer (deine-lauftrainer.de), or out on the trails with our Trailfreunde Camps (trailfreunde.de). I love helping people push their limits and grow beyond what they thought possible.

Since 2009, I’ve also been working as a freelance graphic designer (grafiksuite.de). I bring brands to life, design magazines, develop campaigns, and create visual concepts that speak to both the eyes and the heart. For me, creativity isn’t just a profession—it’s a way of thinking and a source of inspiration.

In recent years, I’ve become known for some rather unusual challenges: climbing stairs backwards—for a good cause. First in Munich’s Olympic Tower, then 25 hours nonstop on the Tiger & Turtle sculpture in Duisburg. These challenges all serve one purpose: raising awareness and funds—for childhood cancer support (Initiative krebskranke Kinder München e.V.), cancer research (José Carreras Leukemia Foundation), and for children and young people in need. I actively support organizations such as Condrobs e.V., "Kein Macht den Drogen" ("No Power to Drugs"), and many other inspiring initiatives.

That’s also why I’m currently studying Social Work—because I truly believe that if we want change, we have to be part of it. Step by step. Sometimes even backwards.
